Hello! My name is Kate and I am an Equestrian Photographer and Polo Player. Day by day I am a Physical Therapist in acute care at my local hospital here in Bend, OR, and I work in marketing for the Equine nutritionist company Horse Guard.
I have a 29 year old gelding called Bubs, a 13 year old polo pony mare called Rosie and I lease another polo pony called Foxy. During the summer the ponies stay at the barn where I play Polo and in the Winter I have them at home.
I have always has sensitive skin, but through COVID I was wearing an N95 mask for 8 hours everyday and I became even more conscious of what I was putting on my skin. I turned more to clean beauty and my skincare routine has turned pretty basic as a result so here are my favorite beauty and skin care products right now.
URGO Beauty BB Cream: I am outside a lot with the horses so having make-up that’s light, easy-to-apply, feels natural on my skin and has SPF is a definite must! Plus the ingredients promote healthy and hydrated skin.
Botanics Organic Softening Cleanser: I’ve used this for years and I love it. It is rich in vitamins, essential acids and rosehip extract to help nourish my skin. I managed to find it a few times here in the US over the last couple of years, but I usually get it at home in the UK. It is gentle on my skin and wipes away the days dirt.
URGO Beauty Tints: I started with one tint color and now I have collected them all! I have found myself using the Pandemic Pink and Devon tints the most for lip color and eye shadow. I love that a little goes a long way and I never leave the house without it.
URGO Beauty Two-Step Foundation: This is my go to when I am going out. It matches my skin tone, feels light on my skin and provides a natural finish. Being able to apply it with my hands and get even coverage is amazing.
Thrive Liquid Lash Extension Mascara (in black): It doesn’t clump or smudge, looks natural and it lasts the day to day life of an equestrian.
Bushel and a Peck Sae Toner: This product is handmade by one of my friends. It helps tone my skin and rebalance its PH.
